A swing beat rhythm based on what is known as dotted rhythm. The dot adds half a beat to the note so dotted quavers as 3/4 of a beat then 1/4 of a beat (semi quaver) gives that jazz swing feel.

1 & & 2 & & 3 & & 4 & & (=12 but over 8)

Funky

This is what is says on the tin. Good for funk jazz soul riffs

Latin Salsa

A nice Latin beat to practice those all important 1, 5, 1, intervals to. Meat & potatoes bass playing.

3/4 or Waltz Time

3 beats to the bar here so remember to count until you get used to the groove.
